AG High School Coaches

Head Program Coach

Rian Robinson

Rian is entering year 13 of her coaching career and her seventh year coaching high school volleyball. Now in her fifth year as a high school head coach, Rian plans to continuing to build a competitive and connected program.

Since joining AG in 2024, the Bluejays have continued to make strong forward progress, including a Nebraska State Tournament appearance in 2025.

Rian attended Gretna High School and then went on to attend Peru State College, where she finished her collegiate volleyball career and graduated with a degree in History & Political Science. She still plays volleyball whenever she can and truly believes there’s nothing better than being in the gym.

Alongside Meagen, she also runs Bluejay VolleyCollective — a program built around intentional youth training and offering opportunities for women to compete and give back.

Supported by her husband Andrew and their children, Romyn and Casey — who are often part of the gym environment — volleyball is very much a family affair. The sport has shaped her life, and she remains fully invested in continuing to grow Ashland-Greenwood Volleyball within the school and community.

JV / Head Assistant Varsity Coach

Meagen Beacom

Meagen is entering year 11 of her coaching journey and brings extensive experience and a strong volleyball background to the program. This season marks her eighth year coaching high school volleyball, along with seven years of club coaching at Premier Nebraska.

Originally from Lincoln, Meagen graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School and competed for Nebraska Juniors throughout her club career. She then continued her playing career at the University of Nebraska Omaha.

With experience as both an athlete and a coach, Meagen’s coaching style is rooted in connection, competitiveness, and a genuine love for the game that has shaped much of her life.

Her biggest supporters — husband Joey, son Brooks, and daughter Blake — are the heart behind everything she does. When she’s not in the gym, she’s a full-time stay-at-home mom, balancing family life with her commitment to helping young athletes grow.

She is also part of Bluejay VolleyCollective alongside Rian, contributing to a community focused on elevating the sport and empowering female athletes.

Rhegan Coughlin

Rhegan is excited to begin her coaching career with Ashland-Greenwood Volleyball. Originally from Elkhorn, she was a multi-year club player and high school outside hitter whose favorite volleyball memory includes competing at the Nebraska State Tournament. During her club career, Rhegan was coached by Head Coach Rian and is excited to now coach alongside her.

Outside of the gym, Rhegan is a teacher who loves spending time with friends and family. She is looking forward to building strong relationships with her athletes and becoming part of the Bluejay volleyball community.

Volunteer Assistant

Sami Murray

Sami brings strong collegiate playing experience and club coaching experience to Ashland-Greenwood Volleyball. She played four years at North Platte High School before continuing with Nebraska Juniors Volleyball Club in Lincoln and competing for four years at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

After her collegiate career, Sami transitioned into coaching and has spent the past two years working with club athletes. She enjoys helping players grow in confidence, compete with purpose, and continue developing their skills at a high level.

Outside of volleyball, Sami works as an Orthopedic Medical Device Sales Representative. She recently got married and is embracing newlywed life, while also enjoying her new role as an aunt. She and her husband stay busy with their yellow lab, Jax, and share a love for travel — including a recent honeymoon adventure in Thailand where they spent time bathing elephants.

She is excited to be part of the Bluejay program and looks forward to a great season.
