Bluejay VolleyCollective

What is Bluejay VolleyCollective?

Bluejay VolleyCollective (VolleyCo) serves as the umbrella for extended volleyball programming beyond the traditional school season at Ashland-Greenwood.

Its purpose is simple but intentional:

  • Give back to the AG High School volleyball program
  • Provide high-level training opportunities for athletes of all ages
  • Create meaningful, long-term support for female athletes in our community.

VolleyCo exists to support, strengthen, and invest in girls/womens volleyball — both now and for the future.

Who is behind VolleyCo?

Rian Kirby-Robinson

&

Meagen Beacom

We are two coaches/moms who love volleyball and believe deeply in the impact this sport can have on girls — both on and off the court.

Volleyball has always been more than just a game to both of us (as cliché as that may sound). It’s where we learned confidence, accountability, leadership, and how to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Why VolleyCo?

Bluejay VolleyCollective was created to represent something bigger than a single team or season. VolleyCo is built to intentionally unite development, competition, leadership, investment, and community support under one shared vision.

This truly is a dream come true for us. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to provide meaningful training and support to girls in Ashland-Greenwood and beyond. Our mission is to give back through volleyball — and to use the platform of sport to make an impact that reaches further than the court.

We are committed to supporting, strengthening, and investing in athletes at every stage of their journey — not just for a season, but in a way that positively shapes their long-term growth and the culture surrounding them.

Programs Under VolleyCollective

VolleyLab

VolleyLab focuses on small-group, skill-based training designed to build confident, fundamentally strong athletes.

Labs are intentional, age-appropriate, and centered on repetition, positional work, and consistent fundamentals.

VolleyLab welcomes athletes from Ashland-Greenwood and surrounding communities who want to train with purpose and grow their game.

VolleySeries

VolleySeries hosts organized women’s volleyball tournaments and events built for competitive, efficient play. Proceeds from each event directly support the Bluejay VolleyScholar, creating a cycle of women investing back into the next generation of female athletes.

VolleyScholar

VolleyScholar is available to Ashland-Greenwood female student-athletes who have participated in a high school sport for all four years.

The Women Investing in Girls Scholarship is about more than volleyball — it’s about reinvesting in the community that shaped these athletes.

VolleyLeague

VolleyLeague has already been established - additional details and future opportunities will be shared soon.

All Bluejay VolleyCollective programming is designed to complement — not replace — school and club seasons, with flexibility built in for participation.

This is just the beginning of VolleyCo, and we’re grateful for the support already shown as we continue building what’s next.
